Four Strategic Agreements From Pasifik Eurasia To Boost The Middle Corridor
Pasifik Eurasia, Türkiye’s largest railway logistics company, signed four strategic agreements at the Global Transport Corridors Forum held in Istanbul to enhance railway transportation along the Middle Corridor route.
Pasifik Holding, serving as the main sponsor of the Global Transport Corridors Forum—organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye from June 27 to 29—represented both its global logistics vision and Türkiye’s rising regional influence on an international platform attended by representatives from 70 countries.
Opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Friday (June 27, 2025), the Forum featured major collaborations to increase the share of the Middle Corridor in China–Türkiye–Europe rail transport. During the event, Pasifik Eurasia, a logistics subsidiary of Pasifik Holding, positioned itself as a key player in the Middle Corridor by signing critical partnerships that emphasized the corridor’s growing logistical value.
Expanding the Volume and Service Quality of the Middle Corridor
A “Strategic Cooperation and Business Development Agreement on Middle Corridor Railway Freight Transportation” was signed between China Railway Container Transport Corporation Ltd. (CRCT)—a subsidiary of China’s top railway logistics authority, China Railway—and Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dış Ticaret A.Ş. The agreement outlines a joint framework to increase the freight volume and service quality of international railway transportation along the Middle Corridor.
A second key agreement, titled the “Framework Agreement on the Establishment of the Middle Corridor International Supply Center,” was signed between Pasifik Global Lojistik A.Ş. (a Pasifik Eurasia affiliate), Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co. Ltd., and Eurasia Link Holdings Limited. This partnership aims to support economic growth in countries along the corridor while offering a comprehensive structure for strategic cooperation and joint action across the full supply chain.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dış Ticaret A.Ş. and Malaysia-based Mutiara Perlis SDN BHD aims to enhance logistics integration between Southeast Asia and Europe via the Middle Corridor. The agreement outlines cooperation in shipments from Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, and neighboring countries to China, Türkiye, and Europe.
Lastly, a Letter of Intent was signed between Pasifik Global Lojistik A.Ş., Schenzen Neptune Logistics Co. Ltd., and Sinotrans Southern China Co. Ltd., focusing on mutual collaboration in international railway freight transport, joint business development, and exploration of new project opportunities.
Extending the Middle Corridor to Southeast Asia
F. Nusret Dur, Chairman of Pasifik Eurasia, emphasized the strategic value of the signed agreements in expanding the volume and sustainability of the Middle Corridor. He noted the significance of the deal with CRCT:
“China Railway Container Transport Corporation Ltd. (CRCT) is the container transport subsidiary of China Railway, the country’s highest railway logistics authority. With 1 million TEUs of container capacity, CRCT completed 19,392 block train trips in 2024 and carried 2,077,216 TEUs in shipments from China to Europe. This makes it a major player in both domestic and international logistics.”
Highlighting the agreement with Mutiara Perlis SDN BHD, Dur added:
“We have signed a strategic cooperation agreement covering railway transportation, terminal services, and integrated logistics solutions. Based on Türkiye’s position as a logistics hub, we aim to conduct multimodal railway transportation between Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Singapore, and surrounding countries to China and Türkiye, and further to Europe via the Middle Corridor. This partnership will also enable joint operational solutions in equipment management. Our objective is to strengthen integration between Southeast Asia and Europe through the Middle Corridor.”
Unlocking the True Potential of the Middle Corridor
Dur reiterated Pasifik Eurasia’s commitment to becoming a main player along the Middle Corridor:
“Beyond being a regional transit route, the Middle Corridor is evolving into a genuine commercial artery due to current geopolitical and structural conditions. Türkiye, as the key country along this corridor, holds critical advantages in logistics, energy, digitalization, and sustainability. As Pasifik Eurasia, we are undertaking both national and international efforts to develop the corridor and unlock its full potential. We firmly believe that these agreements will help the Middle Corridor play an even greater role in China–Europe rail freight in the near future.”
