Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall meets with retailers

Ankara’s new-generation shopping and lifestyle center, Merkez Ankara, which is integrated with open-air spaces, has met with retailers.

Merkez Ankara, Ankara’s new-generation shopping and lifestyle center integrated with open-air spaces, came together with the retail world at Retail Days 2025, the biggest gathering of retail and e-commerce. Meeting with sector representatives at Retail Days, Türkiye’s largest business event since 2001, Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall became the focal point of attention for retail brand representatives with its location right in the heart of the city.

Pasifik Holding General Manager A. Cemail Batuk stated that Merkez Ankara, a project by Pasifik REIT and Emlak Konut, lives up to its name and is being brought to life in the very center of Ankara. A. Cemail Batuk explained that Merkez Ankara, which neighbors Ankara’s largest Nation’s Garden, is located within very short distance of key focal points such as Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Atatürk Cultural Center, Gazi University, the New High-Speed Train Station, Anıtkabir and Kızılay. A. Cemail Batuk said, “With a construction area of 1,167,000 square meters, our project stands out as one of Türkiye’s largest mixed-use developments built on a single parcel. Within the project, there are 1,578 residences, 1,625 offices and Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall, which consists of 63,000 square meters of leasable area. A total of 279 commercial units are planned within Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall,” he said.

A. Cemail Batuk stated that Merkez Ankara was planned in line with design principles of a new-generation shopping and lifestyle center integrated with open-air spaces and that it differentiates itself with this feature. A. Cemail Batuk noted that with this characteristic, Merkez Ankara will become a brand-new meeting point in the center of Ankara, where both retail brands and food and beverage brands can come together, with its 600-meter shopping street concept and its combination of open and enclosed floor designs. A. Cemail Batuk said, “Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall is more than a place for shopping; it is positioned as a hub of social life. With its open-street concept and shopping experience enriched by natural light, Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall is a lifestyle center where visitors can enjoy their time. Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall Will Open in April 2026

Stating that life has already begun in the Merkez Ankara project, A. Cemail Batuk noted that the opening of Merkez Ankara Shopping Mall is targeted for April 2026 and continued:

“At present, residences in Merkez Ankara, a girls’ dormitory with a capacity of 1,500 students and İlbank are already operational. Once the shopping mall becomes operational, the annual number of visitors is expected to be approximately 12 million. For this reason, it is attracting strong interest from retailers, and so far, preliminary protocol agreements have been completed for nearly 30% of the mall’s brand mix.”
