Pasifik Technology becomes session sponsor of the International Economic Summit
The International Economic Summit (UEZ 2025) welcomed distinguished political leaders, global business figures and prominent academics for the 14th time this year.
Speaking at the panel titled “The Future of Defense Technologies in Light of Changing Concepts” at the International Economic Summit, Pasifik Teknoloji Board Member M. Selman Dönmez said, “Pasifik Teknoloji contributes to Türkiye’s defense technology transformation with unmanned aerial vehicles, kamikaze drones and AI-supported systems. As UAVs and artificial intelligence assume a larger role in evolving warfare concepts, the company focuses particularly on unmanned logistics, image processing software, swarm systems and modular solutions. We view the use of domestic and national components as a strategic priority and conduct studies to enhance the interoperability of systems.”

M. Selman Dönmez continued:
“The global chip crises, supply chain disruptions and political embargoes have clearly shown us one thing: dependence on foreign critical technologies is not only a commercial risk, but also a strategic one.
With this awareness, as Pasifik Teknoloji, we are structuring ourselves to develop all critical subsystems internally starting from the design phase. In our unmanned aerial vehicles, especially our flight control systems, mission computers and data communication modules are fully developed and produced as our own national systems. In addition, we continue to expand our supplier network with domestic manufacturers to create a sustainable ecosystem.
However, unfortunately, our country still has partial foreign dependency especially in chips, engines and batteries. Although we do not currently face supply issues, we constantly conduct risk assessments and work to develop alternative procurement channels. Most importantly, we strive to keep our critical stock levels continuously updated. This is a critical issue not only for us but for all technology developers in Türkiye whose systems rely on these components. Significant national investments are being made in this area.
In today’s world, security is not only defense; through domestic technology, it is ensured in many areas from data security to energy, from communication to transportation. Every step we take with this awareness is an investment in the future of the country.”

The panel, sponsored by Pasifik Teknoloji, featured speakers including Altınay Defense Technologies CEO Burak Mercan, SASAD Chairman & Kale Group Vice President Osman Okyay, and Aselsan CEO Ahmet Akyol. Moderated by Ulak Haberleşme CEO Ruşen Kömürcü, the session highlighted the sector’s rapid transformation:
