Pasifik Technology expands globally with the ALPİN unmanned helicopter, strengthening Its presence in defense technologies
Following the operational success of the ALPİN-1, the company developed the ALPİN-2 model and recently announced that it has begun contract negotiations with the Presidency of Defense Industries for the procurement of unmanned helicopters. Strengthening its presence in the defense sector with new products—DELİ-2, DELİ-mini, DUMRUL, and MERKÜT—introduced at SAHA Expo 2024, Pasifik Technology also announced last week that it established a joint company in Azerbaijan with NB Holding, one of the country’s leading groups, to co-produce unmanned aerial vehicles. This marks a significant step in the company’s growth strategy across Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf countries.
Fatih Erdoğan, Chairman of Pasifik Holding, stated that they aim to become one of Türkiye’s leading UAV manufacturers, with a particular focus on rotary-wing systems. Highlighting that few companies in the world have specialized in this field, Erdoğan said: “Türkiye already has a globally recognized UAV success story, and its achievements are well known worldwide. We also foresee gaining a share of this market. During the SAHA Expo in October, we signed important agreements with leading Turkish defense companies. Subsequently, our negotiations with the Presidency of Defense Industries for the procurement of ALPİN-2 began. Immediately after, we established a joint company in Azerbaijan with NB Holding to cooperate in defense technologies and jointly produce unmanned aerial vehicles. Our goal at Titra Technology—developer of Türkiye’s first unmanned helicopter ALPİN, the DELİ Tactical Kamikaze System, and PARS reconnaissance UAV—is to contribute significantly to the defense industry and military logistics. Preparing these products for operational use in line with the needs of our defense industry is our top priority. At the same time, we are evaluating international cooperation opportunities to offer these and similar products to friendly and allied nations and to gain global market share in the defense sector.”
The goal is for 50% of total sales to come from exports
Fatih Erdoğan emphasized that Pasifik Technology has made a strong entry into the defense industry, saying: “Unfortunately, as we clearly see in our region, wars continue at full speed. And wars today are no longer fought in the traditional sense. Every day we talk about UAVs and UCAVs. We were already investing in this area, and we increased our commitment significantly. In every sector we entered, we put forward a true vision and delivered pioneering and visionary work. We act with the same vision in the technology and defense sectors. As a Turkish company that lives and thrives in this country, I also see these investments as a moral duty.”
Erdoğan noted that the global unmanned logistics market is valued at 460 billion dollars, and Pasifik Technology is working on unmanned systems such as rotary-wing cargo UAVs and tactical kamikaze drones. He stated that they have accelerated efforts to increase Türkiye’s share in this market and aim for 50% of total sales to come from exports.

Erdoğan recalled that during the IPO process, they announced plans to invest in companies that align with their strategic goals and have the potential to create a strong global story. Immediately after the IPO, they entered the defense industry with Titra. He added that Pasifik Technology has expanded its service network to include defense, cybersecurity, information technologies, and financial technologies. Mentioning that TCDD’s ticketing software—one of Pasifik Technology’s key products—has been completed, Erdoğan noted that it is attracting strong interest abroad as an export product.

Pasifik Technology General Manager M. Selman Dönmez stated that with its unmanned aerial solutions and technology-driven innovations offering effective field performance, the company has strengthened its competitive position in international markets. Highlighting strong competitiveness in unmanned systems such as Türkiye’s first unmanned helicopter ALPİN, the DELİ Tactical Kamikaze System, PARS reconnaissance UAV, and swarm-capable platforms, Dönmez provided information about the new products:
“Following the operational success of ALPİN-1, we developed the ALPİN-2 helicopter model. As Türkiye’s first unmanned helicopter, ALPİN-2 holds a significant position in the defense industry and will be a critical product for both Türkiye and export markets. It features a payload capacity of 400–500 kg and can perform rapid cargo transport. ALPİN reduces logistical costs in military operations by 95%, provides up to 90% savings in investment costs, and significantly enhances operational flexibility.”
Dönmez also noted that Titra garnered significant attention at SAHA Expo 2024 with its four new products, signing key partnerships in the process: “Our four new products demonstrate the strength and creativity of Turkish engineering, bringing fresh momentum to our defense industry. These collaborations will further reinforce our contribution to the sector.”
