Pasifik Technology subsidiary Proline's new product, BioGATE Pass, will prevent identity fraud
A First in Identity Verification from Pasifik Teknoloji
Operating with the vision of “designs technology” across all its areas of expertise, Pasifik Teknoloji continues to play a key role in Türkiye’s digital future. After strengthening its presence in the defense industry in 2024 by partnering with Titra Teknoloji, Pasifik Teknoloji made another first in Türkiye by adding Proline Bilişim to its group of companies in January 2025. The new product BioGATE Pass, introduced by Proline Bilişim at ISAF 2025, will rapidly verify identities and prevent counterfeit documents by combining identity chips with facial recognition.
Speaking at the press conference held by Pasifik Teknoloji during ISAF 2025, Pasifik Teknoloji General Manager Ahmet Aslanpınar stated that they offer integrated solutions by thoroughly analyzing the needs of both the public and private sectors. Emphasizing their leadership in digital transformation through 100% nationally developed technologies, Aslanpınar highlighted that they deliver integrated solutions in a wide range of fields—from defense industry and cybersecurity to biometric identity verification, travel technologies, and financial systems—thanks to extensive R&D activities and engineering infrastructure.
Providing details on BioGATE Pass, developed by Proline Bilişim and introduced at ISAF 2025, Aslanpınar underlined that Proline is a company specialized in smart and safe cities, secure and high-quality documents, identity management, and biometrics. He added:
“BioGATE Pass stands out as the first of its kind in Türkiye’s biometric verification field, offering protection against fraud and counterfeiting. This next-generation identity verification solution is fully compatible with Turkish national ID cards. By reading the MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) on the ID card, it accesses the contactless chip, retrieves the biometric photo, and integrates it with facial recognition devices. BioGATE Pass offers a more reliable alternative to traditional methods. Since it uses biometric data sourced directly from government-issued chips, the risk of forgery is minimized. Thanks to optimizations, verification is completed within seconds with no extra steps required from the user. This ensures security and speed while simplifying the user experience.”
Raising Security Standards
Noting that the new product not only elevates security standards but also significantly improves institutional workflows, Ahmet Aslanpınar said:
“By automating identity checks, BioGATE Pass reduces the workload of security personnel and minimizes human error. Information printed on the ID is instantly compared with the data on the chip, ensuring data integrity. Its ability to be directly integrated into existing facial recognition systems also makes it highly practical. Compliance with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards will further grant BioGATE Pass international validity. BioGATE Pass offers a comprehensive solution applicable to a wide range of areas—from national security to finance, from public services to healthcare. It will accelerate and secure border and airport passages, prevent fraud in account opening and high-value transactions at banks and financial institutions, ensure reliable verification for citizenship, land registry, notary, and municipal services, restrict access to authorized personnel in corporate access systems, and prevent identity misuse in patient admissions and electronic health records—providing a secure experience for both institutions and citizens.”
Drone-Integrated Solutions for Wildfires Introduced
Ahmet Aslanpınar also shared information about the fire-response concepts developed for wildfires by ALPİN 2, DUMRUL, and MERKÜT unmanned aerial systems, all created by TİTRA, Pasifik Teknoloji’s defense sector subsidiary, and introduced at ISAF 2025. Reminding that rising temperatures and uncontrollable forest fires have become visible effects of climate change, Aslanpınar said that ALPİN 2, DUMRUL, and MERKÜT were developed under a firefighting concept to protect nature and safeguard human life.
He explained that ALPİN 2, thanks to its high carrying capacity, is a convertible unmanned helicopter capable of transporting fire bombs, base stations, or emergency supplies.
“DUMRUL is a mini UAV optimized for fire hose transport/deployment, reconnaissance, surveillance, and analysis missions in fire zones. MERKÜT, with FPV technology, enables fast reporting and rapid cooling checks in critical areas. These UAVs are not only useful in wildfires but, with interchangeable accessory options, enable faster, more effective, and safer emergency response in all types of disasters,” he said.
Aslanpınar noted that these innovations by TİTRA have made UAVs applicable not only in military contexts but also in civil disaster response, underlining the national value of these contributions. He concluded by stating that Pasifik Teknoloji is proud to support Türkiye’s technological vision through innovative solutions in security and information technologies.
